Make a difference to the lives of some of Nepal's poorest children. For many children in Nepal, it is extremely difficult to obtain a good education. Not least among the problems that they face is the shortage of basic facilities, with schools lacking toilets, classrooms, playgrounds, libraries, and even clean drinking water. Imaginative Volunteers have the unique chance to join with a Nepali community to help build or renovate their local school, and experience day to day life in this amazing country.

BRIEF ITINERARY

Day 1, KATHMANDU: Arrive and transfer to hotel.

Day 2, KATHMANDU: Today we transfer to our volunteer programme and meet the families who will host us for the next six nights. After a briefing about our programme, we return home with our families and enjoy a traditional home cooked dinner. (BLD)

Days 3-6, VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME: We spend four days working alongside members of the community to improve their local school. Many schools in Nepal do not have even basic facilities, such as toilets, proper classrooms or even drinking water. In the evenings, there is the chance to participate in some Nepali language lessons, and learn more about the culture and beliefs of our hosts. (BLD)

Day 7, VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME: A morning to complete our final tasks, and reflect on what has been achieved. Later in the evening we enjoy a farewell party with our hosts. (BLD)

Day 8, DEPART: We say goodbye to our new friends and return to Kathmandu. Tour ends on arrival. (B)
