BRIEF ITINERARY
Day 1 Arrive Hong Kong: Arrive in Hong Kong at any time.
Day 2 Guangzhou: Travel to the port city of Guangzhou. Explore the local market for a glimpse into traditional daily life amidst a city that is rapidly moving into modern times.
Day 3 Zhaoqing: Take an authentic sampan across the West River to the ancient city of Zhaoqing. Cycle through peaceful villages and miles of rice fields as you experience rural China on two wheels.
Day 4 Deqing: Enjoy a day of cycling through quiet farming hamlets and developing new towns through a part of China few tourists see.
Day 5 Wuzhou: After cycling through picturesque rural vistas, arrive in bustling Wuzhou. Along with its Cantonese-influenced customs and habits, this traditional ancient town is also known as the 'snake capital of the world'.
Day 6-7 Yangshuo: Follow the West River along to Yangshuo. Experience real village life as you explore the spectacular limestone karst hills and rice paddy fields of one of China's most beautiful landscapes.
Day 8-9 Xi'an: This ancient city, the capital of China for many years, is home to one of The Middle Kingdom's greatest archaeological treasures – the Terracotta Warriors. Indulge your tastebuds with some of the best market food in the country.
Day 10-11 Beijing: Pedal through Beijing on Chinese-style bikes as you explore Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the back-street hutongs for a look at how old-world China is still thriving today. Hike along the Great Wall and marvel at its scope.
