Get to know Ecuador in style on this 13 day adventure, complete with comfortable hotels and private transportation. Explore some of the best Ecuador has to offer, from volcanoes and indigenous markets to the Amazon jungle and the famed Galapagos Islands.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Group Size:Max 15 (20 on the Galapagos yacht) - no minimum on land portion.
Group Leader:Local naturalist guides in both the Galapagos (certified by Galapagos National Park) and at La Selva Lodge. Local guide for 3 full days while in Quito and Cayambe.
Accommodation:Comfortable hotels (5 nts), hacienda (1 nt), twin-share cabins on board our motorized, air conditioned yacht (3 nts), twin-share accommodation at the jungle lodge (3 nts).
Transport:Motorized, air-conditioned yacht, local flight, canoe (motorized and paddle), van, walking.
Meals Included:All meals while in the Galapagos and at La Selva Lodge, breakfast daily.
Budget:Allow USD140 for meals not included in Quito. For additional expenses, see dossier. Drinks and tips while on the yacht are extra. You must pay a USD100 (cash) Galapagos park entry fee immediately upon arrival to the Islands (subject to increase).

BRIEF ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrive Quito
Arrive in Quito at any time.

Day 2 Cayambe (B)

Begin your journey by heading north to the village of Cayambe, and spend the night in a historic hacienda nestled at the base of Cayambe Volcano. Go horseback riding, take a dip in the swimming pool, or explore the vast property on foot.

Day 3 Otavalo / Quito (B)

Return to Quito, stopping in Otavalo to explore the largest handicraft market in South America. Here villagers sell handmade goods, livestock, fruits and vegetables, and almost everything else imaginable.

Day 4 Quito (B)

Return to Quito where you will enjoy a half-day tour of UNESCO World Heritage Quito with its colonial architecture, markets and cafés. Free time to wander and enjoy the city on your own.

Day 5 Amazon Jungle Lodge (B, L, D)

Fly to Coca, located on the edge of the Amazon jungle. Travel by motorized dugout canoe to our Amazon lodge - your home in the rainforest.
Day 6, 7 Amazon Jungle Lodge (2B, 2L, 2D)
Our Amazon lodge provides comfort in the jungle with private bathrooms, hot and cold running water and screened jungle-view rooms. Climb a 43m (141 ft) tall tower to view the canopy and choose from various guided jungle walks, bird watching and wildlife spotting activities.

Day 8 Quito (B)

Return to Quito and transfer to hotel. The evening is at leisure.

Day 9 Galapagos Islands (B,L,D)

Take an early flight to the Galapagos Islands, transfer to our yacht and begin cruising the islands.

Day 10-11 Galapagos (2B,2L,2D)

Visit several islands during our Galapagos adventure, viewing wildlife and soaking up the spectacular scenery. Each day, travel with our naturalist guide from our yacht to the islands via small, motorized launch. Explore the islands on foot and learn about the natural history and unique wildlife from our guide. Most days you can snorkel among sea lions and there is always time to relax out on deck.

Day 12 Quito (B)

Visit one last island before flying to Quito. Free evening in Quito.
